Varicose Vein Issues & Symptoms

Varicose vein problems encompass discomforts such as aching, swelling, and cramping, which may intensify after prolonged periods of standing or sitting.

If left untreated, they can lead to more serious problems such as skin discoloration, thickening, and painful, non-healing ulcers, especially near the ankles.

In rare but serious cases, varicose veins can lead to blood clots, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can be life-threatening if a clot travels to the lungs (pulmonary embolism)
